A Quilting Journey

Weekend Quilting

Happy Sunday!

I spent most of the weekend finishing small projects and working on a few WIP.

I was able to finish the daffodil topper I wrote about here. I decided to use it as a cover for one of my sewing machines.  I love it ?

Finishing the the small curvy log cabin table topper I made to test using the 8 inch curvy log cabin trim tool was another small accomplishment. I used a leaf shaped feather embroidery design to quilt the center. After creating 4 blocks and rotating the larger logs to the center creates a “circle” . I added a two inch border so the topper measures 19 x 19.

I started making my Ohio Star Flag table runner a couple years ago. Happy to have another UFO finished. Finished size is 16.5 x 54.  I’m gifting this to my DIL to use as part of her patriotic holiday decor!

I finished piecing my batik hourglass quilt today. I first wrote about it here. I love love the colors! Now I have an excuse to shop for fabric — I need backing fabric!

When I have spare time I’ve been working on this 4 star table runner.  I’m using strip piecing technique with charm squares. Not sure if I like it or not but plan to finish it.
