Today I fooled around with my Creative Grids 60 degree Equilateral Triangle ruler. I’ve seen many table toppers shaped as hexagons and of course I had to have one also?

Using a Christmas fat quarter bundle I purchased from JoAnn Fabrics several years ago.

• I cut three 2.5 inch strips each from 5 fat quarters
• sewed 3 matching strip sets ( 5 strips per set) pressing seams in one direction
• using the Creative Grids 60 degree equilateral triangle you can cut 2 triangles per strip set at the 10.5 inch line

I came up with this — I am really pleased with the results! I can’t wait to finish it!
